We started our review by going around the room and reflecting on the main topics we have covered throughout the year. We have learned SO MUCH!! Making connections and seeing them visually on the posters was very nice and encouraging as we start review this week!

Toss A Question "Snowball" Activity

Students are to solve the word problems given to them by completing the first step, crumbling the paper tossing it to the middle of the classroom. They have to show all the strategies and be working neatly in order for the next person to pickup and solve the problem at the second step. They have a blast and at able to solve the problem from the start to finish.

What better way to prepare for the STAAR (which is one week away) than to have a Snowball Activity?! I love seeing these collaborative activities for review. Each student was engaged and eager to get all the strategies on paper in order to help the next student who would receive their paper. Both of these work samples were taken in the middle of the game!
